Hamburger Sternwarte - Research
White Dwarfs and Subdwarfs
Hot stars are easily distinguished on objective prism plates by their UV
excess and sometimes by their strong Balmer absorption lines. They are a
valuable byproduct of objective prism quasar surveys.
