Heidelberg Void Survey

Emission-line galaxies were searched for towards nearly voids of the overall galaxy distribution to study the population of dwarf galaxies in these regions. The motivation of the project was to examine the question of whether the void regions represent real structures, or whether they merely appear as such due to selection effects. No homogeneous population of dwarf galaxies was found in the voids.
